We're not magicians, if you tell us your score we'd know whether you should retake the test or not.

Your writing score is what's pushing your score down - with CLB 9 in all sections you'd have a much higher score.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp - recalculate your score with a higher writing score (at least 7) and see how much your score would improve.

Another option is to ask for revaluation but there is no guarantee that such revaluation will result in a higher score.

Your writing score is low. If you retake ielts to increase writing AND maintain the clb 9 and above in the other sections, your score will increase drastically

almost same case as mine....if you had scored half a band more in writing, your crs would go up by 20-24 points..so reappering asap will be the best, but the thing is points may cone even lower, or if oinp s are rolled out then it will go up for like a month before coming back down again. So its upto you.
But in my experience, after getting kicked out if a company for being good, a two companies downsized in my joirney, and about to apply for pr by the end of my study permit. If i were you, i would definetly book another trst to be on the safe side.

Thats right. I heard if u r expecting a .5 mark increase in writing there could b a chance. Re marking works only for writing and speaking.

But the time they take is considerable high and the cost difference between remarking and reappearing is not so significant. So it is a difficult call though

Go for revaluation, only if you are too confident that your content and quality of writing deserves a Band 7 or so. Remarking does not work all the time.

Immediately go for rechecking, it worked for me. With half a mark change you'll see a difference.

Well not an expert, just a personal feeling - In case one has done really well in other modules like you (9 and 7.5) you'll have a benefit of doubt and might be lucky to gain additional 0.5 - This will change your life 8)
