my recent employer terminated me last feb2010 and already issued me a T4. it has already been reported to CRA.
but i never had a new employer so my current live-in caregiver permit still names her as my employer and she wants to re~hire me.
does she still need a new LMO? how can i work for her again?
hope somebody can tell me how. thanks a lot!

Hi :)

Yes, your employer needs to apply for a new LMO but what I found is that he has to apply four months prior to the expiry date of your work permit so, Im not sure how that would work for you...check out this link www(dot)albertacanada(dot)comimmigration(dash)audience(dash)employers-retention(dot)html :)

hello lorearco,

thank you for the reply. =)
i checked the link you gave and read what you said, except that i work in ontario under the LCP so i'm thinking maybe it's not the same for alberta.
i'm still looking for more information because there is no info on that in the cic website or maybe someone here has the same situation like mine.

i called hrsdc but the agent wasn't sure if my employer still needs a new lmo so she just advised to call cic.
i called cic and the agent told me i can continue as long as my work permit is still valid.

i told my employer that but she still wants to make sure so i need more confirmation other than what the cic agent told me, because sometimes those call center agents say different things.
