My previous company doesn't exist anymore????

Hi Everybody,

I am just preparing to apply for PR under CEC category. The checklist says "Provide your detailed personal history for the last 10 years". I have a total of 9 years exp (2 yrs in Canada and 7 years in India). My first company in India recently closed for issuing fake experiences. Because of its bad reputation, I do not want to keep it anymore in my profile now.

But, when I came to Canada for the first time 2yrs ago, I have mentioned its details in my workpermit application form.

Could some one please advice on how can I get rid of this company. Do I need to specify it's details in my PR application form to keep it in sync with my earlier WP application form no matter what?

If you exclude it from your personal history, what will you say you were your doing during the 8 years in India? There is no way to "get rid of it" without lying(misrepresentation) and the consequences are rejection, deportation and a 2 year ban. Is it worth the risk? If your experience with this company is real and you are still worried about its "bad reputation", may be you can write a letter explaining the situation and include copies of your paystubs or tax forms as proof that you worked there? Just a suggestion, may be other members will have more input or you can consult a lawyer about it.

It was my first company and I was with it only for 2 yrs. Can I mention that I was idle and in search of job during that period?

If I can do that, then I would be having an another question whether I have to keep this information in sync with my first WP form?

It's your choice if you want to misrepresent information, but know that if you are caught there are serious consequences. Goodluck!

hi..i am new to this forum...i will get an eligibility in 3 months to apply under cec and mine is similar case as cashew...but i have a false exp of 1yr begining of my career and put the same while applying for my 1st workpermit...now i wish to take off that and put only genuine exp when i apply for PR....while processing my PR would they compare the PR form details with my workpermit records....plz help me.

I knew that there are a lot of people with false documents in Canada. I did everything honestly and I have been waiting for 6 years for my immigration with no progress at all, and everyone who lied and cheated is in Canada already.

Jeera/Cashew, did you both file your appliation.
If yes, did you mention your first company details in CIC PR application forms.
