I worked in Canada from August 2022-June 2024. I left because my visa expired. I was in the pool with 482 points. I updated my profile to say that I left my job in June of 2024, however, on August 2nd my points increased to 519, as if I worked 2 years instead of one (yes sadly only 7 weeks away from the full 2 years to get those points). I did not realise it until today when I got my ITA. However, how can this be right?? I double-checked my profile and it definitely says that I worked from August 2022-June 2024. So why did my points increase?? I've reached out to an immigration lawyer because I don't want to do anything wrong but I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this??
And if I do decline the ITA how would I get my points to go back down?? I'm very stressed ...

It’s not uncommon for applicants to experience discrepancies in their CRS scores. Many have faced similar situations, often due to system updates or changes in how points are calculated.

This is because system doesn't consider duration using exact dates, it calculates based on months. this is know system behavior.

But I only worked 22 months not 24.. and why would it update in august when I had to leave Canada in June. It also says update not submitted on my profile so maybe that means when I unpaired my end date it didn’t update fully? But it does say my real end date on my profile. So I’m very confused.

Should I then reject the ITA? I don’t want to apply if my points are wrong and cause more issues for myself.. but how do I change my points back
