My passport(INDIAN) validity

Hi,

I got ITA recently , and planning to accept it and take the application further.

But my passport is valid till first week June 2018. People say that to apply for PR, passport validity should be more than 6 months.

I am not sure what to do now?
As:
1. I have created my profile with my current passport . If I request for a fresh passport, the passport number will change.
2. If I do not initiate the request for fresh passport, I am not sure how long it will take them to process my profile. If they take longer than June, what will happen

I received ITA today. Submitted my application on July 2017.

I had the same issue. So I applied for new passport. Changed the passport number while submitting the application. But the 6 month rule is true. Better get your passport renewed. It takes only 2 weeks tops.with Ita you have 1 month. Good luck
