My passport expires before my course end date, is this going to be a problem?

Hey guys how's it going.

I finally got my passport request today, and it had the following paragraph in the letter:

Passport requirements
• Please provide your passport or travel document, with a copy of this letter.
• There must be at least one blank page in your passport.
• Your passport must be valid for the duration of your expected length of stay in Canada.
• Please note that we cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date on the passport.

The bullet point in bold says that my passport should be valid for the duration of the expected length of stay, and mine is not. Will I still be able to get the visa?

Hey there, are you applying for a study permit or PGWP? I had the same thing about 2 years ago, when I got the study permit my passport was still valid for 9 months, so they allowed me to get it until my passport expired, and once it did I had to make sure to apply for a study permit extension, when I had the new passport... took like 2 months until it was approved. Hope that answers your question
