Continued from above...

After the distribution of certificates were over the judge gave a closing talk and the ceremony clerk announced that we were all now Canadian Citizens and the proceedings were completed. She once again reminded us not to approach Passport Canada before 48 hrs.

And we were then asked to line up either to go out of the hall ~ or line up towards the flags to take a picture with the judge.

And voila, we were now proud / freshly minted Canadian Citizens!

Time of ceremony closing: 10:35 AM
BUT...
The picture taking at the flags took another 30 minutes.
Thus, Time of Real Closing: 11:05 AM
We were out of the building by: 11:10 AM

And it was time to hit Kelsey's for some merriment!

Continued...
Congratulations Champ! Sent prayers and meditations!

Update about the Canada Post Strike

Forgot to mention earlier, when I queried reg. the above the lady at the Passport Canada counter said ~ "If a strike does happen - we will make alternative arrangements to send your passports to your address, e.g. using Purolator and the likes. You don't necessarily need to pick-it-up yourself by paying the additional $20, unless you want to".
