Hey folks,

I am currently in a position called "Drama School Assistant". I know this is not in NOC list, but the job description and what I do is very similar to Administrative Assistant.
I also used to work as an "Assistant Artistic Associate" which is similar to Event Planner (B level)/Administrative Assistant (B level).

My question is, job titles don't really matter as long as job duties are the same, right?

Thanks guys.

If job duties match to the one specified under NOC code, ask your employer if he could provide you with the employment letter with the title specified under CIC .And also check if your putting your pay stubs, they have your position title on it.If they have the wrong title then it would be hard to explain. But if you have T4 and NOA for those job in that case you need not attach paystubs so that will eliminate the issue.

Correct. Do not start fibbing about your job title, it is not worth worrying about misrepresentation. Your job title is simply what your employer has designated. The NOC is chosen by the job duties and responsibilities (as well as the type of business/organization you work for).

Thanks for the clarification. I appreciate
