My Mother is a US citizen, I wish to bring her to Canada on immigration

Hi all , firstly I would like to thank you all, the generous experts who have been constantly helping people in need of help in immigration matters.

I am a Canadian permanent resident in Ontario and I wish to bring my Mother to Canada on Immigration. I am clueless about the procedure do not know how to go about it. My Mother is a US citizen and I am not aware of the procedures as how I can bring my mother to Canada.

I really appreciate any advise and believe me, your inputs will make a huge difference to us.

There is a moratorium on parental sponsorships so CIC is not accepting any more applications in this category. The best you could do is apply for a Super Visa so she could visit you for up to 2 years.

Thank you Rjessome, for replying to my post. I was wondering if super visa is applicable in my mother's case as she is a US Citizen. She normally does not need a visa to visit canada. Please let me know if this Super visa is applicable to US citizens visiting Canada. Thanks again

No it's not. If she was here visiting and wanted to extend her stay, she could apply for an extension to CPC Vegreville before her 6 months was finished.
