I am a Canadian citizen. My mom was granted her supervisa in the year 2014. The supervisa is expiring in June 2024. Her passport is also expiring at the same time but she renewed her passport and has a new one now. She has visited Canada on the supervisa once before and wishes to visit now.
My question is can she come to Canada now with only a month and half left on her supervisa and apply for an extension while in Canada. Will this create any issues at the port of entry? Can she be denied entry into Canada since her supervisa is expiring soon? Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
