Thanks a lot hmisabpk. Hats off for your generosity. I'm really impressed. I was just getting the information. I was not expecting so quick & comprehensive reply. It'd further take 3-4 months for me to get visa [Insha Allah]. I've kept safe your details & will definitely contact you before booking at Safehomestay. Thanks once again.
Stay Blessed!

Hi,
This a reply to a PM may be helpful to check south Asian community area.

I am always suggesting that initially you can take short term accommodation for few days and then personally visit the areas & check permanent accommodation. You may need to signs the lease contract for permanent accommodation.

Near Toronto Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, sri lankan and other south Asian communities are reside in these areas.
East York, Thorncliffe Park, Gerrard Street (The area is also commonly referred to as "Little India", Little Pakistan, or little South Asia), Danforth Ave, Scarborough, Raxdale, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Vaughan and Richmond Hills area. South Asian community is also living in Oakville, Ajax, Pickering, and Hamilton areas.

For reasonable rent short term accommodation I have listed on this link.

Dear I have seen you are helping people a lot here, doing a great job brother :)
I am planning to land in October inshAllah, I am planning to rent a house of 3 bedroom in Markham area. I have searched the net for all areas rent and facilities. I have heared that landlords ask for credit history employment letters etc for lease, how to handle this issue being a new immigrant.

Hi, Khalid,

1. For newly landed immigrants you don't require to providing any credit, rental history or rental reference. You will be Fine to rent accommodation.

Hi, Kashif,

In my opinion as single person you required minimum $ 900 - 1400 per month for initial months.(including rent, grocery, phone internet etc..)
For Jobs helper, assistant, customer service, call center, security guard, taxi driver, restaurant helper, factory helper, construction worker etc…

Sharing room check this link : http://calgary.kijiji.ca/f-real-estate-W0QQCatIdZ34

Hope that helps

Seniors

I need help please.

I was in Canada before getting immigrant visa then I came back to India as my work permit didn't extended, I am still having my bank acc there with TD. I also used this acc as PoF for filing my Immigration. Now when I land there I will b carrying just 1000 CAD cos I have enough money there in Canada to support myself.

would there be any issues if immigration officer ask me for PoF and I provide them the scanned copies of bank statements. (one of my friend is getting my bank statements at his mailing add, he can send me scanned copies)

second thing I will be carrying just clothes, shoes, a watch, guitar and wearing a gold chain with pendent. Do I need to prepare a list of all these items can someone provide me with a format of this please. Do I need to write a lump sum amount or should be accurate.

I have already printed out the PR card form and will fill it from here itself to avoid mistake in hurry at airport. what else should I take care of. As I was there in Canada for 2 yrs accommodation and all is not a big deal, just airport clearance is what I am nervous about.

Please Advise.
