Hello hmisabpk,

http://www.indeed.ca and http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/ are two good websites to search for jobs. Hope you have reworked your resume to suit Canadian requirements. Normally, Canadian employers don't give weightage to education and experience gained in Asian countries. If you are an Asian, the trick is to write name of the company, your experience and skill without mentioning the country. Leave that for discussion during the interview stages. Try it..

Good luck...

Hi, Vermas,

Thank you for info and web links, I will sure work on my CV.
As I mentioned earlier in my post that now I am working on apartment hunting and I got in some area on very reasonable rent, so working arrange and setup furnitures, kitchen stuff and other household items. Most probably after 2 weeks time will start to go for Jab.

and many more are there offering lease to own the house but my few suggestion and tips on housing are following:

1. Do not be hurry to buy the house or apartment immediately after landing, stay few month on rent and check the neighborhood and area if you like in same area try to buy.

2. Check the rout to the center city, highway and routs of TTC subway & buses.

3. Check the all features , utilities, facilities offered by the building management or landowner

4. How much is convenient to School, shopping, play ground, park, gyms, library, and governments offices.

5. What amenities are there, what type appliances included, or furnitures,

6.MOST IMPORTANT THING TO CHECK THE SCHOOL ON HOW MUCH DISTANCE, ELEMENTARY/PRIMARY, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL (ACCORDING TO YOUR KIDS)

AND ONE THING MORE WHAT IS THE RANK OF THE SCHOOL (WHICH YOU CAN CHECK BY THE NAME OF THE SCHOOL)

Hi,

Here are some information for Nurses and Nursing related professional immigrant (newly landed or planning to land in few months).

How to get registration in Ontario province

For professional Licensed and Registration as RN, PLN, OR RM, the applicant must go through the educational evaluation of theory and practical / credit hours should be according to the requirement, then one can for for exam and that is quit tough. If study hours or not equivalent according to their requirement then they will ask to go through placement ( study and practical without pay for few months) and again they will evaluate if got better marks, they will allow to appear in exam and then can have title and able to practice as RN /LPN.

Each province has the different rules and standers to evaluative. The applicate should have the vialed license from the country he/she study and the country where recently practicing, with original transcript and verification well be sent with application package.

For Ontario province, registration the college of Ontario for Nurses is responsible. The we blink is http://www.cno.org/

Hi,

If you are not having any medical insurance for the period of 3 month (after landing) till you will get your Health card. There will be no problem according to the Nurse in charge in Ontario health care department (I just spoke with her this morning). According to her....
You can go to any near by health center for any medical treatment in emergency or routine medical check up if you got any medical problem it will be free of charge, in case if you have to pay for some investigation or other fees, later on when you will get your health card you can claim and it will be pay back to you later (according to her), except cosmetic/beautification surgery, dental treatment and drugs bill / charges.

Some of private doctor are charging only $ 30-50 for check up, drug will be extra.

To check the heath related information, location of the health care center or health care cards update in Ontario province
please long in to

www.ontario.ca/health

or

http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/

Best regards.
