MY LANDING EXPERIENCE AND OBSERVATIONS

Please guide me, during landing we have not follow goods n list , but after 6 to 7 months , if we want bring stuff from our home country, is it ok,during landing we are not present(coz i do not know at the time of landing) that list? Is there any law?

Hi, dipashah,
The B4 form / list of good to follow is to facilitate the new landing immigrate to bring things without paying the custom duty, tax, penalty etc.. If you don’t have goods to follow list at the time of landing (stamped by CBSA) and Later when you will bring the goods, will be considered for custom duty.
If you know what type or kinds things you would like to bring list them all in B4 and get stamp at landing time, even if you are not bringing no harm. (But if bring and not listed will have to pay custom duty accordingly)

you have a great sense of humor this really made my day! I am from Philippines. I received my FSW-1 visa aug last year. I have no relatives in Canada and i'm still waiting for a host family recommended by a Consul of Canadian Embassy here in Philippines & my consultant. There are two possibilites either I'll be in Saskatoon or Toronto. Lately, they are trying to arrange me with a couple in Toronto whom I will live with for 2 weeks while I will find my own place and work. They say they'll help me secure my SIN and if they could, they'll try to help me with my employment & driver's license. I believe that they are sincere in helping me. My visa will expire this coming May. Is it possible too that I can land on my own in case they can't assist me? I'm bringing US$9000 for myself only I'm migrating alone, would this be sufficient until I get a job? I'm so worried, if they can't assist me, I think I'll dare to go even without assistance coz my visa is expiring soon. Thank you please shed me some advice.

You should try to land in or before April 2012 to avoid visa expiry deadline. If you are landing in Toronto I can assist you and guide you in securing SIN card, Health Card, Bank account, Driving license, Mobile phone, short term / long term accommodation, most important I can assist you in getting survival job and working toward for your professional licensing or exam peroration.
If you will get survival job within few weeks your fund will be OK, as you are single your expenses will be not much higher comparing families with kids.
