I started my sponsorship. My consultant is saying i have to have good job. I called CIC they say no minimum income for spousal sponsorship. I never been on welfare or unemployment insurance. I am always working but I can not hook up career at this moment because I want to take leave and go see my husband because the process takes so long. I am always working but I change jobs often looking for a better job. Is income and steady job important?

2nd question: I am university degreed person and my husband is only high school back home. he is a farmer. Though my husband is thoughtfull understanding and patient than most guys i have met. Our marriage is an arrange marriage but we get along so well. would that be an issue?

3rd question: I knew my husband as a friend for 6 months prior to seeing him in person through my brother and his wife. I always spoke to him on skype and telephone as a friend. Would they ask us to prove these conversations? knowing six months prior to seeeing him in person and when i saw in him in person and we liked each other and we got married after my arrival after a month. would this be an issue like short period of time between us before marriage. How can I explain. I am a mature woman I can judge people and I really like him so much. He likes me very much and we get along so well. he is intellectually compatible to me we talk about so many things and he is a smart man because he is very well informed. Please help.

4th question. How can I prepare my husband for interview. My husband is a little shy type. he speaks to me well but he is a not a person who speak well on a first meeting. I need help. SHould i inform this along with the applcation?

5th question: My husband wrote a letter saying that he likes me a lot and he is experienced in construction help and he wants to work in canada in that field. In addition, he is taking english classes back home. he mentioned this in the letter and we attaching english class receipt. is this a good idea?

PLEASE REPLY PLEASE PLEASE HELP
Thank you kindly for the help !!!!

Hello: I'm Canadian and live in Mexico, married to a Mexican citizen. We are working on his PR visa right now.

I started my sponsorship. My consultant is saying i have to have good job. I called CIC they say no minimum incAome for spousal sponsorship. I never been on welfare or unemployment insurance. I am always working but I can not hook up career at this moment because I want to take leave and go see my husband because the process takes so long. I am always working but I change jobs often looking for a better job. Is income and steady job important?

A. All you have to be is not on welfare and not bankrupt. You do not have to be employed but you do have to give the reason for your unemployment and also you do have to demonstrate that you can provide for your husband. Food, shelter, clothing, medical not covered by health care etc.

2nd question: I am university degreed person and my husband is only high school back home. he is a farmer. Though my husband is thoughtfull understanding and patient than most guys i have met. Our marriage is an arrange marriage but we get along so well. would that be an issue?

A. This could be an issue as it is important to demonstrate the genuine nature of the relationship/marriage. You need to provide as much information as possible to show this. Pics of you together, your visits to him airline ticket or boarding pass, text messages, emails. Wedding pictures and details of your wedding. Marriage certificate, if in another language need it translated with affidavit from translator or certification from the Embassy of Canada. What country is your husband from?

A. This basically knowing each other in person for a month and getting married is a flag for sure. You didn't really go on dates and have a relationship prior, you would have limited photos together and even your work 'like' could be problematic. Definitely getting those Skype and telephone conversation records to include would be extremely important. They are looking to find out if your relationship and marriage is genuine, if they think it is not, that could be a big problem. Is there a an age difference?

4th question. How can I prepare my husband for interview. My husband is a little shy type. he speaks to me well but he is a not a person who speak well on a first meeting. I need help. SHould i inform this along with the applcation?

A. Some may disagree, but I would not say anything on your application. He needs to have exposure to other people and just get more comfortable. Can't really practice the interview with you as it's you. Not sure what your age is or his, but he is a grown man and most I would think would be a tad nervous, not sure how you can just over come shyness.

5th question: My husband wrote a letter saying that he likes me a lot and he is experienced in construction help and he wants to work in canada in that field. In addition, he is taking english classes back home. he mentioned this in the letter and we attaching english class receipt. is this a good idea?

I don't think it would hurt to attach the English class receipt. Getting a good knowledge of English or French depending on where settling will be needed to really get any type of work.

Other's may have better info than I provided. I just started working on my husband's visa.

Thank you for you advice.

I was born on 1986 and he is 1984. We are like friends like it clicked so well. We talk about anything and we are not offended by each other. he is very thoughtful patient and a wise man. I don't know how this is like i have met educated men but this guy is different. I have tons of pictures and we talk hours and hours now on skype and viber i have all that. I also took some intimate pictures like he is hugging me and stuff. We have all the pictures and registration and wedding photos. everything. I am working as a recuriter in a company now but i can not take leave in that position so I will be working in a restaurant so I can see my husband take a leave. Should I write an explanation why I can't settle down in a good career because of my situation?

Thank you for your time and concern. You are very helpful.

Hey Tranjini,

I'm currently sponsoring my husband from Sri Lanka as well although my situation is a little different now.

1. Provide the Visa post with as many or all communication proof. If you have proof only after marriage I think it should be fine but explain it to them that its an arranged marriage so it all happened recently.

2. Wedding photos & regular photos to proof its a genuine marriage.

3. Write a letter to them showing how you will financially support husband and yourself upon his arrival. Example: bank savings, investments, referral letters from family and friends that will assist you with support if necessary.

4. Finally, explain it to them that your obviously newly wed and you should like to spend time with your husband and that's why I'm not employed but since I have a degree in so and so... I will come back and find and employment to support my family. Also make a note to them that you are not on welfare, unemployment or any sort of government support programs.

I hope this helps, good luck!

I want to ask you. I already sent in the application on December 11, 2014. I included all the details explanation for finance. proves of conversations photos all bills and etc. I also included the Sri lankan clearance and medical as well completed. my husband lived in Qatar so we applied and we were waiting but we only received the clearnce after we sent in the application. It expires in 6 months. I checked the CiC website it is saying 85 days for processing. I am so stressed what if the clearance expire before they ask. How long after i get file number will they take to ask for the Qatar clearance. How can i let them know so they don't delay in asking so i can give them before the expiration.

thanks alot for ur help.
