My Husband and My Applications

PMM and other Seniors,

My husband applied under the FSW category in Sept 2006 and it seems we still have a long time to wait. But my occupation is among the 38 approved by CIC. Can i apply while my husband application is still in progress since i qualified and have above 67 points. Will CIC allow the 2 applications to be in progress by same couple?

I read from this forum posted by PMM that it is possible for one to have an application in progress and still put in another one and the two running concorently, but that of a hus band in progress and you filling your is waht i do not know. But since the two of you are one i think it is possible.

PMM and other fellows should shed more light on this please.

u must withdraw 2006 application first.
thats what i think, you can not have two applications simoultainously.

Hi, You can sure apply if you qualify. You can have both pre and post C-50 applications. Even if your husband wanted to apply again under the new law, he could do so without withdrawing the first one.

Thanks for your reply. I want an exact answer with example please. Please do not see me as not having faith in those that have replied but i want to be sure so that my efforts will not be in futility and jeopadise the application of my husband.

You can apply if you qualify. I already had a file and applied again under the new rules without withdrawing the first one and I had no problems so far.

Well you could read the FAQ on www.cic.gc.ca But if you did that I guess you wouldn't be questioning the answers you got?
