My husband and I applied for his Permanent Residency through spousal Sponsorship in October 2018.

We got the call to go for his medical exam in February, which we did. At the time, we were told that we would probably be looking at another 3 months wait to get the decision. Can anyone give me an estimate of how long after the medical exam the final decision is made?

The medical is not tied to any processing time. It's another step in the process that everyone must undergo.

When my mom was sponsoring me and after my medical exam was done they sent me a request for a visa after 3 weeks,
but now I'm sponsoring my husband and he is going to do his medical exam on July and I really hope that it won't take soo long.

The immigration process has actually steadily gotten faster compared to previous years and other countries. Expect it to take 12 months, be happy if it's faster.
