I and one of my friend applied on the same day last year for PR. We got our files transferred to NDVO with a gap of 2 weeks. My file was transferred to NDVO 2 weeks earlier. We got our medical done on the same day and submit our passports to NDVO on the same day.

The only issue is that my status on ecas is still showing "In Process" and on subsequent details I got information that we have started processing your file on 16th February 2012. While ecas status of my friend has been changed to "We have recieved your medicals".

Can anyone explain why there is delay in our application? The only difference that might be is my wife had TB 2 years back and we submitted previous x-ray, original recovery letter from the medical practitioner and other documents. Can the medical history be cause of delay?

Very true. But I am no different from human nature. I am a little scared what went wrong with my application.

don't be dear you will go through as well.....you will also find people who applied exactly as you but are lagging behind you...?

Think of it this way....... visa officer A is dealing with your file and visa officer B is dealing with your friends file........... so its case to case...........

I would definitely give more points to officer B. :D

Is there a possibility that there is job verification with some person going to office for verification?

Yes - it's certainly possible the medical history has caused the delay. They review medical files much more closely if someone has a history of TB.

Thanks Scylla.

Do you know if there is a possibility of job verification with some person going to office for verification?

Sure - there's always a possibility.

Hi navneet,
there are very minuscule chances of physical verification.
if any, these means are executed in the early stage of application, not at this point.

tho, I am not denying EXCEPTIONS, although ur case doesn't seem so.

keep ur fingers crossed, u b getting maple leaf soon n I will get +1 from u. :D

Can I get this stamped from senior members whether physical verification wouldn't happen? And, even if it is there then it would be an exceptional case. I couldn't find any document on cic website or anywhere.
