my friend wants to come back as a student after he was a pr

so my friend used to be a pr but he was only in Canada for 2 months then he went back to his country and his pr expired while he was there
now he is thinking to come back and enter Canada as a student and after 2 years he is gonna apply to renew his pr
can he do this ?

it can be fraud and person can be barred permanently. immigration department can know what's going on and past as well.
he can come as student and go back after doing studies.
if he will try to renew pr then he could be in trouble.

His plan won't work.

If he wants to come to Canada on a study permit, he will first have to officially relinquish his PR status. He won't be approved for a study permit without doing this.

Once he has relinquished his PR status, it will no longer be possible to renew it and he will have to apply again from scratch.
