My file was returned. Please advice. Need some advice :(((

Hello everyone!

I am so depressed and overwhelmed. I applied for sponsoring my wife in the end of March 2017. On April 19, 2017 my file was returned (that was found out over the phone with CIC) bit for some reason my lawyer received it in the end of May. There were some extra documents to be signed and we send it back by courier. Today on June 12, 2017 they received it. I literally don't know what to expect. Can someone advice what will be the next Please?? I called CIC today they said don't even expect anything from us within 6 weeks or so. Can someone give more detailed? Who has more or less experience. I am sponsoring our land, my wife is in Turkey. How long is the process actually? I read some threads, some people receive pretty quick SA. Please please please advice!!!!

After submitting a compelet application it will take 6 weeks to open your file.
Be patient and wait for thier reply. If your application will be correct and compelet you will get your file number after 4 to 6 weeks. They will send you a letter and saying they have opened file for you and you will get your file num.

I dont understand what the issue is. They returned your app because you were missing documents right? And you in fact, did forget to send those documents right?

So my assumption he simply forgot. This time he was assuring me that all is good. I looked over the Checking list myself carefully it seems that this time it 8s ok. But to be honest I literally don't know what to expect. Too much emotions unfortunately.

I feel for you. I also was requested additional info. The wait can be very frustrating, but remember the process takes months. We are all in the same boat as you. The sooner you come to peace with that the better you will feel. Keep calm and make sure you submit a complete and thorough application. Best of luck.
