My file transferred to Edmonton how long it takes?

I have applied on SEp2013, and the file is in the local office( Edmonton).Any idea how long it takes to get the test date? as I am planning to visit India in this summer

John, short answer: Looooong time. I applied in January 2013, routine app, have not heard from the yet. Even people who applied in August 2012, like user Canuto, still have not heard from them.

Hi John, take Kisunja's advice it will take you a very long time I would take that summer vacation in India this year and maybe next year as well.
just fyi, I submitted my application June 2012. A year after that, It was forwarded to CIC Edmonton office on August 2013.
Up until now I am still waiting for that invitation letter for a written test.
I think Edmonton belongs to that remaining 20% of Routine Application's waiting time far exceeding 24 months. ;D
