if 10th april 2010 rule does not mean to send ILETS with initail applicatin then what got changed? prevously, i mean upto now Ilets has to be sent on 2nd stage then what is change then? Kindly clearfy.

Up to now, applicants have both option, prove their language ability by submitting proficiency letters etc or IELTS. Most of applicants were trying to play lottery by submitting Prof of language proficiency etc, if that works.. otherwise go for IELTS upon request. And, most of cases, if Immigration was not satisfy with proof such as letters etc, he or she was sending a request of IELTS as a SECOND chance.

Now, according new changes in Language section, if an applicant submitted proof of language proficiency by letters etc and no IELTS, then he or she would not be given a SECOND chance to go for IELTS. Immigration officer will make a decision on what ever is submitted with application. So, in other means, now IELTS is must if English is not your native language, otherwise chances of minimum points/zero points/ application refusal are high if one is not submitting IELTS. Of course, it depends on particular circumstances too. Hope its clear to you now.


P.S, no IELTS at Sydney stage, before or after 10 April. IELTS is for full application into local visa office.

mahharrouf ... Thanks a lot now it clears my mind, I thought that is I have tick all high in my initail applicatrion then i have to prove it whence i need simple 10 score to get qualified.
