So you cannot work in Canada until you are PR. When did your father apply for PR and under what program?

So you wait for PR. Assume you mean he was invited and applied for PR in October and he didn’t apply for a work permit. If he applied through Express Entry, then may get PR faster than through non EE streams. Maybe you should ask him.

It's fine if you work in your home country. You won't be able to work in Canada until you have PR.

Make sure you do not get married or become common law until after you become a PR.
