Hey guys,

I am seeking professional help! Let me tell you about our case:

My name is Ammar Alayoub, I am now located with my family in Amman, Jordan.

On September 11, 2002 me and my family left to the USA, we had a refugee case going and it was going alright.. I was very little at the time, and my parents decided after 3 years of staying in the USA that they wanted to go over to Canada, the thing is we had a court date we had to attend in the USA, and they didn't inform the court that we are leaving the USA. In December 2004 we left the USA and entered Canada, we had the same refugee case going on.. What m y parents didn't know at the time that the lawyer that we hired was actually a scammer :( he kept on ruining our case, until he ran away to his home country and left us with nothing, after that the court hearing came out that our case did not work out and that our application was denied. They gave us a specific date to leave on which was around Jule 2007, and we left on that exact same date and the exact same time back to the USA, now in the USA they said that we did something wrong.. which my parents did.. and we were deported from the USA back to our home country Jordan. We have been in Jordan 3 years now, and neither my parents nor I can handle being here.. We liked Canada much more..

I want to know if we can apply again to go back to Canada since my mother has a sister over there, and if we were deported from Canada or not? They didn't give us a deportation paper or anything like USA did, maybe because we left on the exact date they told us to leave on..

My mom is a registered nurse working here in Amman, Jordan and has over 18 years of experience as a RN (Registered Nurse). My dad just has a high school diploma nothing more, and I am 19 years old, I have another sister that is 17 Years old.

I would appreciate any professional help telling me What it is That We would have to do now to get back to Canada? what are our best options? How much will it cost.. Please Help! We are Desperate!

If your mother has worked as a nurse for at least one year in the last 10, she can apply under the federal skilled worker program for the whole family although because the quota for registered nurses is full, she would have to wait to apply until July 1st or if she has experience that falls under practical nurse, she can try applying under that. I do not know if your refugee case will mess up things for you.

My mum has worked as a registered nurse for the past 3 years we have been in Jordan for, and when you say "quota" you mean the limit? like the limit of applications for registered nurses has been reached? and it opens up again until July?

Yes, there is a limit of 1000 applications per year. It opens again on July 1st so you can start preparing the application soon and be ready to mail it on July 1st. You can see the list of occupations at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list

The quota is still not met for licensed practical nurses so if her job descriptions could be said to fit that NOC, see http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/Profile.aspx?val=3&val1=3233 she can try to apply under that.

She would also need to have 67 or more points on the self assessment, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp and you would have to show funds of $20,654 for a family of 4, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp
