Hi Everyone,

Please help me in this situation. I've asked my employer that if they can give me the reference letter in desired format for Canada Immigration. HR refused and said you can download it from the office portal and they cannot change the format.

Office portal format is very basic. It indicates my Name, My Tenure and confims my job location (Delhi). That's it. Nothing else.

I thought about writing down my own letter and get it signed by My manager but My manager also refused to sign the paper stating that if HR refused, then it's against the company policy..
When I was hired in the company, I was hired as a customer care representative. I grew my way up to workforce management analyst which comes in NOC 1122. Can I still show my Offer letter which I received 5 years back but indicate that I was hired for Customer care executive.

I have few questions:

1- Can I write everything down (Job responsibility, tenure, salary etc) in a piece of paper and get it notarized. Will that be okay?

2- I have worked for 5 year but never filed ITR. I've started filling out ITR last year so I have only one year ITR. Can I show that Or should I not mention it?

3- I have my office ID CARD, Salary slips, Bank salaries entries, My basic employment letter confirming my employment in the company, HR refusal Email. I can also write LOE explaining whi I cannot provide proper reference letter.

4- My colleagues (Same position as I am) are willing to sign the self reference letter. Will that hold any value? Their id card, office card, official email, employee id, all these thing are available and they are ready to help me.

check this thread please

I am an applicant, not a professional but so far from the threads/posts from the previous applicant's i am explaining the following
Create a reference letter as per ircc's requirements and get it sealed/signed by a colleague. get a letter from your colleague as well describing the situation which led to this situation. I think you can notarize the letter, but unsure if the reference letter needs to be notarized.
If there's mail correspondences between your HR / Manager regarding the refusal of providing you with the required format then everything's fine as this will serve as the evidence.

1. yes you can prepare the reference letter (never copy from the noc list) i am unsure about getting it notarized to serve the purpose but i know that the letter from the colleague regarding the situation is better to be notarized.
2. ITR's not requested everytime by ircc but if it can be done by you then do it, you can submit them.
3.All the documents you mentioned serves the purpose and can be used as valid evidence proving your employment. LOA is fine too
4.Yes it's valid. In your case go for it. Notarizing their copy of documents is a good option.

feel free to post your query here or to our open discussion thread fsw worldwide. Someone will be there to respond to queries and extend a helping hand.

I received a similar letter for my job in India but with job duties mentioned. Indian companies tend to avoid putting the salaries and compensation on these letters for some reason. What I did is I attached all the pay-slips and attached them with the reference letter for my employer. I am an FSW O applicant (still pending) and according to my GCMS notes, IRCC accepted the letter. But, in my case I got job duties mentioned in the letter which is required by IRCC. Offer letters will not be accepted. You need to have your duties mentioned in your letter. For salary proof, as I said, you can show your pay slips and that’s fine. In your case, see if you can get a letter from your coworker. I’ve seen that many do this especially people from India.

Thank you guys for your response. It feel so good that we have our community helping each other.

I have one more question. Please help me on this..

1- Now I am applying for WES. I have done my BBA (6 semester marksheets and one degree) and I have also done my PGDBA i.e Post graduation diploma in business administration. It is a one year diploma course from the central government university of India. I have a Grade card from the university which includes my 2 semester marksheet but I do not have any certificate for it like a degree. I have contacted the university and they said that this is the only grade card which they give in one year diploma cases and they said that transcripts will be made for both BBA and PGDBA.

I was wondering that if WES will recognize my 1 year diploma?

Thank you everyone for your help. Love you all.

Unfortunately I don't have any advice in this regard. You will need to contact WES and explain your situation and ask how they assess such credentials.

Hey everyone. Need help!!
My employer made me a reference letter with required details but he wrote it in such manner;

It is certified that ____ my name ___ bearing (my id no.) ____ has been working at ____ as a ___ my designation___ from this ___date to this ___date (timing 10 am to 4 pm) except Friday. (36 hours per week) with salary 30,000 per month.

Now can anyone tell me is this letter okay in terms of my working time/hours and salary?. As he didn't write this letter professionally. Will this be acceptable? He mentioned time and salary exactly how I wrote^ . JDs is not a problem as i have another letter with detailed JDs.
