Hi guys,

I was hoping that someone could help me with a couple of question about my situation.

I have completed 2 year post secondary in Toronto, and then got a job in Quebec after few months and worked there for one year and now i am moving back to Toronto with a 6 month job contract in hope to get PR.

When I calculate my points for express entry it comes around 410 approximately. Which seems not enough as I should try to get PNP from Ontario.

But OINP said i wont get approved as I dont have a bachelors or masters or phd which I dont (not back home also). I am not eligible under students also as the 2 year limit is going to be over.

Is there any way around this or any other options under OINP I could try to get PNP or PR without it ?

Please do let me know.

Alternatively, you could go back to study and get a 4-yr bachelors degree... but if you're currently on a PGWP, you won't be eligible for another...

Hey Jes_ON, I used up my 3 year of PGWP and extended it for an extra year when I received my AOR for my PR application. my question is, if my PR is not approved on time (before expiration of PGWP) i'm I eligible to renew it without a Labor Market Opinion?

If you got AOR then you have no problem - you can apply for BOWP every year until you get your PR.

Just to be clear, you did not "extend" your PGWP, you changed to a BOWP. Or at least, that's what was supposed to happen. And yes, the BOWP is renewable if you are still eligible.

@ mesumrizvi - thanks for the reply mate.

LMIA - I saw that it is done by the employer but does the employer have to give a permanent job for them to apply for this? because in my line of work its almost, always contract basis.

And in which way does this LMIA increases my EE scores as i am not able to find that category in this link - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

@ Jes_ON - Yeah, but like you said since i am in PGWP i wont be able to do that.

why don't you try bumping up your score with language tests ?

not sure how good is the lmia shot..

I guess i have no other options other than getting more scores on IETLS.. dont know how much more would it increase in the EE points
