Hi All

I just calculated my CRS points and found it to be 380 points. And this will turn out to be 375 next May as my age will be 35 years which will decrease my points by 5.

Is there any chance for me to be invited after I enter the pool?

I saw the minimum points required from Jan 2015 till now and all are from 450 and above. I feel frustraded

I don't think Federal EE cut-off will fall below 400 for a long long time, maybe even never. Try to get some PNP that will give you 600 more points. Or if you know some French, try to appear for TEF and then you'll be eligible for some Francophone PNPs such as New Brunswick or Ontario.

I dont want to discourage you but ITA is an expensive comodity these days and I would rather recommend to increase your score.

Try getting into 400s atleast to have a chance to get a province nomination. Getting into Canada has become very competetive and their are two options, either wait and let the score drops which is highly unlikely due to the current trend or to try your best to push your score. Good luck.

if I got a master degree my points would be 414 but after 2 years my age will decrease my points by 10. So, balance is 404. I think even 404 is low

404 will still give you a chance to get nomination from ontario.

Are you calculating your score correctly. If you have clb 10+ and more than 5 years of experience, i think you should touch 400 mark. I may be wrong but can you recheck the calculation?

If you got a master, why don't learn little bit of French (French and English are close languages) and then get some more valuable points ?

I tried it and got the same. It seems because my spouse does not have post-secondary education and her IELTS is below basic
Maybe your spouse can retake IELTS, should she get a 6.0, your score will increase by 10.
Also, check if you can get a 1-year post-secondary program instead of a full-scale Master's. I, for one, have a so-called specialist diploma (BA+1-year program that counted as post-secondary credential).
I second the motion to learn French. If you try, I say you can master it in a few months at the lowest level that gives you points (every little bit helps).
Maybe you've considered this, but looking for a job in Canada and becoming eligible for CEC (getting a LMIA is too unreal) is quite possible.

go PNP

I'm 412 and I went the PNP route

I guess to get 450 and above you have to have PhD, you know English and French, Your spouse has Bachelor or Master and you have a relative in Canada or worked before in Canada
