You should've told us where you're from.....if you happen to be from a visa-exempt country, then you don't even need a visa (but I believe it's only limited to a maximum of 90 day stay in Canada....I'm not 100% sure though)

To find out whether or not you need a visa, check out this page:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp

If you do need a visa, check this out...it contains all the instructions on how to get a tourist visa:

You have to get permanent residency before you can get citizenship. The information is here:

There's little chance you will get a visitor's visa with a girlfriend and child in Canada. They will consider you an overstay risk.

Your best bet is to see if you qualify for Family sponsorship and apply to come to Canada permanently with your family.

Your child and gf being Canadian give you no right to citizenship. It doesn't even give you any rights to be in Canada with them. I suggest you start learning about your gf sponsoring you as common-law if you qualify or get married and sponsor as married. This is for landed immigrant only. After you meet residency requirements, then you can look into applying for citizenship.

Wow , thanks so much , never had a clue about all this , i guess i really have to start living my GF sponsoring me since i just read about Sponsor Spouse/Partner but its says we dont need to have any Child , hope that is not going to be a barrier? neverdless , I appreciate it so much....

The only real barrier right now might be the nature of the relationship between you and your girlfriend. In order to sponsor you, you must either be married or common law (common law means you've lived together for at least one full year). If you aren't either married or common law, your girlfriend won't be able to sponsor you at this time.

Scylla , so what you mean is (1)for me to travel to Canada and live with her for at least a year to become Common-Law or (2)if we have lived together for more than a year already , because if this concerns number (2) then i think it is possible because we have lived together for more than two years and we are expecting a baby in the next 2 months...

She means #2. You can live together anywhere in the world as long as its for at least one full year. You'll need proof you lived together, such as a joint rental lease.

You're welcome and good luck.

If I was in your shoes, I would want the same thing :)
