My cec case was trasferred to New York

Hi,
I just receive a email from CIC, they said my cec application has been transferred to New York.
Can someone tell me is this a good thing or bad? because I heared that it will be very slow if New york deal your case.

Not common, but the same could be said about select files that were sent to CPP-O in 2011 and 2012 when the Buffalo office was still open. They have internal processes which we can't know. It could be re-distribution due to workload, so I wouldn't worry about it.

It doesn't matter, what s/he selected. It was probably sent to NY as CPP-Ott feels an interview is required.

Yes, but it very likely that members of PSAC (The CIC union) will refuse to do the work of the PAFSO members.

What does “urgent humanitarian visa applications” refer to ? Does it include PR (CEC) applications that are pending for submission of passport and/or visa issuance ?

Definitely not CEC application, i guess its more to do with asylum & refugee category.

And I time line is I applied in feb 15, 2013. I got FN in April 3. I received this notice one month ago.
I'm still in Canada now.
What should I do? I'm so worried.

Hi.. Does your ECAS say "Application Received" or "In Process"?

Nothing you can do but try to go about your daily life. There is nothing in the email that should warrant worrying.
