Hi guys

I just want to be sure about this.

My wife(Canadian) is due this month with our baby. Does the baby HAVE to get her citizenship card 1st before she can apply for her passport? i ask because the feedback is that the citizenship card takes quite a while but the passport does not...but you have to wait for the citizenship card or not?

You have to "apply" for proof of citizenship and then you can apply for a limited validity passport. You don't have to have received the proof of citizenship before you apply for the passport.

We applied for both at the same time. The passports is only good for two years.
