Dear all I think we must get our DD cancelled and ghet back 1550 $ and resend it via Courer, here in Pkiatsn, there is not good support in Govt. Post Office, please suggest.

2- if we can directly contact MISSSUGA office and push them.

It is probably the same in New Delhi GPO as well. Not only speed post, but I have heard some packages from courier companies have also been delayed including DHL and UPS. I will wait for some more days in hope that something will move in Canada customs!

i also faced similar situation and mine was even taken to toranto due to error which took another 5-6 days to delivery

You can go personally or call the speed post manager or send email. We sent email to speed post manager and my father personally followed up.

So now Canada post has received information from India post that our postal cover should be cleared from custom soon. Here in Mississauga custom office and post office has opened a case specific inquiry for our case. But stupid thing is now Canada post wants India post to confirm the content of cover on behalf of sender!!! Also customer care of post told me that they cant expedite custom procedures. Also due to easter holidays custom have backlog of documents. But they have sent update on case specific inquiry that customer himself called and gave more details.

For those whose documents are in Mississauga custom office can contact Canada post 001-416-979-8822 and talk with representative with your postal reference number.

Do we need to personally go to the Indian GPO or sending an email will help? What is the request that you made? Did it expedite the clearance for you? How many days did the customs take?
My application is also at customs since 07 April. It is at Missisauga, Canada.

but on this 001-416-979-8822 number they say "u will have to talk custom's" and when i talked to customs office they 100% refused to tell me anything and said to contact my local post office :-X

we are in depression.

Log on to canada post website www.canadapost.ca and locate customer care. you can contact via email/online with your reference number.

well, I have not recieved any new update , all is chilled as ice berg, canadian customs are still sleeping.
I will pray for u and u must pray for me .

i also conetmplated sending through the post office reg/speed etc. bt decided against and sent using DHL.
it costed me a lot, but reached on time, in 5 working days .

i would always advise others not to send anything important using the post office ( what ever service it my be )
be it Indians or our pakistani brothers.

customer service is a myth in our countries and you will not get anywhere trying to put a trace or push your document .

atleast we are a bhai-bhai in corruption, lethargic government agencies ha ha

My application is also stuck at customs since 07 April. I will wait until the end of this month and then probably send another one.
Last time my application was stuck for 10 days. I am hoping with that calculation, it should move out of customs by today. Will keep you posted and also pray for you. Wish you the best!
