My Application package is missing

I am from India and I have sent my application package (FSW) to CIO, Sydney through courier in May 2014. The courier tracking system shows that it was delivered on 26 May 2014. However, I have not received any acknowledgment so far. Recent reply (on 21 August 2014) from CIO to my enquiry mail says that there are no records about my application. The cap limit of the category (1112) is also reaching soon. Please suggest me how to proceed further.

It's too early for you to hear anything. CIC is still working on applications from the second week of May and they haven't opened your application yet. You will need to wait another few weeks.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply... What is the usual expected time to get an acknowledgment/file number from them (I know, it takes a while for the processing)?

As of now it's 3-4 months from the time your application is received.

my application was also delivered on 23 june and i got same reply from cic that there is no record of your application when inquired them through email.

Don't expect any news yet as you must give CIC 90-120 days for any concrete news.
The name of the game is waiting and be patient.

Hi Scylla,

How do you know that CIC is presently processing applications received in the second week of May? Is this shown anywhere on the CIC website as to which applications are being processed currently?

We know based on who on this forum has received PER / had their credit card charged or demand draft cashed.

Thanks for the reply. I sent my application wbich reached on 5th june. I sent an email query as early as 22nd July. Its been more than a month after after the mail query and unlike others on this post, am yet to hear anything from CIC Sydney.
1.) Do they reply to everyone's query for status?
2.) Guys who got a reply, which email did you correspond with?
3.) I have concerns with my application like a lost credit credit card for which I have been emailing CIC about. Have sent a new fee processing form with new credit card details which reached CIO on 19th August. Will CIC ever reply to such concerns and clear my doubts regarding the process followed in such situations?

CIC gave very clear and detail instructions about application process. We all can see how slow they are, it took them 3 months to process appliations that were delivered in first two weeks of May. And yet, I can see many people in this forum asking how can they contact this service "just to add/explain/ask something"! My opinion is that they don't even look at this e-mails because they tend to create even greater mess than it is now. By briefly going through this forum, one can get an idea how this thing works and how long does it take. Even more, one of the members had created a spreadsheet where all of us can input our processing informations an update them, so that you can compare your status with others. There you can see that they are presently charging applications that had been received on 15-16 May, so why asking about June when you know that it is under piles and piles of others received before that date. If there is something wrong with your applicastion, send another one. I really doubt that thay put aside packages that are missing something and opening all other mail to see if you had sent the missing paper.

The chances are likely low they will be able to match up your application with the new fee processing form. There is certainly a good chance your application will be returned to you because the fees cannot be processed.

I was reading the updates on the posts to track FSW 2014 applicants. I saw this post of one member whose application was sent in the month of may but never recieved or courier sent to PO box. So this member sent another application in the month of July. Surprisingly, that applicnt got a PER for the july 12 th application and there was a lot of discussion. Not sure if you went through those updates. Just wondering how CIC played good daddy and processed that applicant's 12th july application. Just a thought. Did they go through all applications in this case. Very confusing...
