Lolz is right ;D
get a small box instead.

I thought I saw somewhere or someone told me that they don't particularly like accepting boxes, but I'm not 100% on that.

You could always tape two envelopes together.

Yeah, I heard never to send them a box. Just try to find some kind of expandable folder of zipper bag...we have loads of those where I work and they fit a lot!

That's what I've read here and on other forums...but if you sent it in a box, don't worry about it, I'm sure they'll accept it...

Me too. I will have to use a box. Since we are applying as conjugal I need to include a lot of proof.

no no, box is fine if it does not fit...the most important is to send all together

I used two bags and taped them snug together after I filled each. Important to write Spousal Sponsorship on both bags, you and your spouses names and package 1/2 and 2/2.
I managed to send this way 13 lbs or 6.5 kg of documents and forms.

LOL, they don't like boxes, yet they want as much proof as possible.... arrggghhhh the irony!!

it doesnt matter what they like and what they dont. CIC is also doing lot of stuff that we dont like. if your package is heavy go for box dont worry. we dont need to worry about their feelings because our application is priceless.
i would suggest for a box inside for for extra safety :)
best of luck

While agree with that sentiment, I wouldn't recommend potentially pissing people off at CIC. I also thought I would need a box, but UPSucks had a bag that was big enough...most couriers do...so try that first...double bag it...it's "in the bag"!

Folks have used boxes, envelopes, and other packaging supplied by couriers and they have all been accepted.

There is nothing stated in the CIC instructions stating a preference for or against any type of packaging. They just ask that you label it appropriately so they can sort based on application type and to include your name and address as sender.

OP - use whatever packaging makes sense for your application size and is convenient for you. It's what's in your application that's important to the Officer, not the packaging. :). Good luck!

I divided my app into 3 sections with 3 big envelopes - Sponsor, applicant, evidence. Labeled them all and took them to the post office and put them in a giant postal envelope. I don't think it much matters how you send it as long you have everything in order :)
