Sorry if this question was answered somewhere before.

I have a university diploma from my home country. My diploma is here in Canada with me. It was verified by the issuing institution in my home country and has the apostille and everything. However it is not in an official envelope sealed by the issuing institution. Does that mean my diploma will absolutely and without a doubt be rejected by WES if I go ahead and send it to them anyway?

It is a very big deal to send it back home just so that they put it into their official envelope. Is there any chance I can do without an official envelope?

Thank you guys.

Hi igoryen,

Yes, it has to be a sealed envelope which has to be sent directly to WES. You do not need to send the original (that you have with you) to the institution for sending it to WES; WES just needs a COPY of your degree/diploma and transcripts which have to be an 'authenticated true copy', not original. I faced similar problem with a University in New Zealand for my Masters degree but, I requested my friend to pick up the 'true copies' from our program co-ordinator in the sealed university envelope and courier it to WES directly.

You can also get the 'true copies' couriered to you in a sealed university envelope and then courier it forward to WES; I did the same for my graduate degree. At least that's what I did and got my assessment cleared from WES. Hope this helps!

Yes! You need to get it sealed from the university, because WES is asking the copy of our documents and that is the 'Standard Process'. Rather then they send it back and doing the procedure again, I would recommend getting sealed first and then send it to them, though it seems time consuming!

Thank you, guys!
The requirements for me is really an authorized body of education, which is indicated as the Management for the Supervision and Control of Education within the Ministry of Education and Science, not the actual university.
