must I change mailing address?

So on the 15th of October I am moving to Canada with our 2 children and my husband is coming as a visitor to wait out the decision of PR(he has a flight back booked for April juuuust in case! 8))...I have written these details in our application and had checked the box for correspondance by email....BUT anyone know if I have to contact CIC to let them know that our current address has changed from Germany to Canada? And should I do this before we leave or can it wait until we are in Canada?

Yes you need to change your address. When the PR is approved you want the COPR document for your landing to be mailed to your address in Canada, not Germany.
I would change it once you actually arrive here.

My husband arrived as a visitor last week and we changed his address. Current and mailing address . We received an email saying they have received the information but it may not get updated on ecas.
So yes change your address so his papers come to Canada .
