multiple visa entries on study and spouse work permit

how does this work? requested on study permit application or is it noted at border control on presentation of study and work permit letter and noted on the visa itself then and there?

Could you express yourself clearer? Do you mean you have a multiple entry visa and would like to get SP? And OWP for your wife? Or WHAT?

applying for a sp (spouse owp as well) from a visa required country and would like to be able to come and go to visit home country during sp time without having to reapply

You will be able to go home as long as 1. you SP is valid and 2. you are a student in good standing. Not so sure about a spouse on OWP.

I suggest call CIC and ask? The do not ask your name.

No, they wont.

If a foreign student or temporary worker comes to Canada from a country with NO visa-waiver program, he is automatically issued a TRV at the time he applies for SP/WP at no charge. This counterfoil authorizes reentry for the period of SP/WP validity.
