This is the first time I am trying to invite my parents and my sister to Canada, to visit me and my wife.
I've been thinking a lot about what kind of visa they should apply for - single or multiple entry.
The best option would be a multiple entry visa, as they are planning to visit us periodically, once a year, every summer.
From my understanding, getting a multiple entry visa should be easier, as it proves that the applicants intend to go back home, as opposed to the inquiry of the single entry, when there is a chance that the applicants are not planning to return.
The question is - do I make any sense? =)
We are a young family, we don't have children yet, but are planning to have. The more goals we achieve here in Canada and the more plans we have for the future, we realize that we will not be able to keep visiting our country as often as we wanted. It would be just great to have my parents or my sister come here from time to time, to be with us as well as help us out with kids and other routine stuff...
Does my sister have less chances getting a multiple entry visa than my parents do?
At the same time, I have no idea what should be entered in the form IMM5257, Details of visit to Canada, Q2: "Indicate how long you plan to stay", if a multiple entry visa is inquired? What dates should the applicant enter if they planned to visit Canada for 2-3 months / year, within the next 5 years?
