Hi,

I applied multiple entry TRV as my spouse is currently full-time student pursuing masters.

I am thinking to reapply soon. My concerns re:

-- can I apply immediately with more documents to support?
-- can I change my visa type from multiple to single?
-- I am applying for a month duration, how much funds do i need to show?
-- can my parents sponsor me for my trip? My spouse is also working at University since 8 months and has an internship during summer.

Please advise. thanks in advance.

What were the reasons you were rejected? What are you doing to address the previous refusal reasons? And what country are you applying from?

I am applying from India.

refusal reasons:
-- travel history (dont know what to provide to cover this reason)

-- current status of employment (when I applied I was on probation, now I am submitting confirmation letter from employer and leave letter saying that my leave is approved and I'll rejoin on this date--letter also states that I have 1.5 year employment bond)

-- Your ties in canada and your country of residence (I am submitting property documents (CA evaluation), employment letter (need more documents??) )

--insufficient fund (we shown around $14k last time, now we are showing more funds in my father's account and my spouse's account also submitting employment letters, tax return, rent agreement and pay slip of my spouse)

plz advice. I am very confused.

How long are you asking to stay in Canada? I don't know why having $14,000 is considered insufficient funds, unless you are going to live in a hotel and staying for a very long time.

Travel history: nothing much you can do here if you've never travelled before, you should show your passport and old plane tickets showing you've been to other countries before and left when you were supposed to

Employment: the employment letter is good, pay stubs would be nice too

Ties in Canada and India: Need to show you have family and relatives in India, assets like cars, a home, a business, rent, etc. If you have family in Canada and not so much in India, you will very likely be refused the TRV

1 month, I think we applied for multiple entry so they are asking for more funds.

Aren't you an adult? If so then being sponsored by your father is not a strong argument. Immigration has to be sure you can make use of funds while you are in Canada with no other permission but your own. Your father can own 1000 million dollars, they are his not yours.

You need to show money in your account or someone from within Canada should show their accounts so you can make a strong case. The amount of money depends on what you are planning to do. I would suggest at least 4k, but again it all depends.

Yes I am an adult and employed since only 4 months and my salary is not that much so I thought I'll show my father as my sponsor, So i can show property and other assets on his name (I don't have any property on my name).

is it ok if we transfer money from his account to mine and also at the same time I'll shoe him as my sponsor if required.

I mean I'll show around 6-7K in my account and rest of in his account.

please advice

Yes, that's the way you do things. Money in your account is the way to go.

Why do you need so much money for a 1 month visit? And you are going to stay with you wife, correct? Ask for 1 entry visa, for 1 month, show $2000, supply a letter from your employer, ask your wife write a letter telling what she will show you in Canada, what you are going to do there besides staying in he place waiting for her to come home after classes.

Is there a problem if I show more money? Right now my spouse is showing around $13k in foreign account (student--need to pay fees and also support himself).

Just think. Why would you need A LOT of money for one month trip while staying with your wife who already has enough money to pay rent. You will need some money for food (she already has money for food of hers) and for entertaining. BUT if you are going to stay in Canada MUCH longer than you told on your visa application THEN you will need more money than just for a one month trip.

thanks for info.

I have one more query. My spouse borrowed money from his friends to show balance in foreign account. Do i need to need to submit just balance certificate? or with detailed transactions? If both then would it be a problem as detailed transactions shows money transferred in past few days.

please advice

yes , they expect you to show 4 month statement. You can take a risk and try to supply just a balance in a hope VO will not ask you to send them 4 month statement.
