Hi members,
After 5 years in Canada as a PR under family class, I am moving back to my home country for a better job opportunity. I am taking my Canadian citizen by birth husband and two Canadian born children with me. I applied for a new PR card, it's in the mail now and at the same time I applied for citizenship, thinking that's the only way to come back here freely. We may come back within 5 years or in 20, or never.
I don't want to be a Canadian citizen if I don't have to, if I can come visit family and friends in Canada when I want to. I found yesterday there is a multiple entry travel document. It says "Multiple entry PRTD’s cannot extend beyond the expiry date of your passport." I will renew my 10 year passport soon. I will have 5 years on my passport when the current PR card expires. Can I hope I will get a 5 year multiple entry travel document? I don't think I can renew PR card while I'm visiting Canada every 5 years, can I?
Thanks
