My mother was born in Canada, and my brother and I are applying for Canadian citizenship certificates. We have one certified copy of my mother's birth certificate. Can we submit both our applications in one envelope using one copy of my mother's birth certificate to cover us both, OR would we need to supply two copies of her certificate, attaching one to each of our applications?

Thanks.

They are two separate applications - so two copies.

Thank you. I have a birth certificate document that says “Certified A True Photostatic Print of a Record” at the top. Do I need to submit the original of this document with my application? (It was difficult to get this document since I live in the U.S.)

I may need to apply for another copy of this document for my brother’s application.
