Hi

I have a question about the multi entry visas. We want to apply for the ten year multientry visa for my husband but I don't see the option too. I only see a normal visitor's visa. He came on that visa last time and it was good for 6 months but we want to be free to travel back and forth over a long period. Do we just apply for the normal visitors visa and in the cover letter state that we are requesting the 10 year multientry?

Thanks for any insight.

visa depend on officer and it may granted until passport expiry but there is no option to apply for 2 3 or 10 years visa it is all depend on your documents and once they approve they issue until passport expiry Good Luck

Your best option is to apply for spousal PR for your husband by the outland process

Do we not have to be living on Canada for my husband to become a perment resident? We live in his country full time but I'm trying to figure out an easier way for us to visit my family in Canada then applying for a visa every time. I was hoping there was a multientry, but I guess we can just ask for the length of the passport according to the other reply .

No, you can apply for his PR under Family Class sponsorship even if you are living abroad. You would, however, have to include a plan that shows you intend to move back to Canada + how you will support yourselves financially when you return at least for the first few months.

If you don't intend to move back anytime soon then you would need to give us more information about your husband's case so we can advise. For example, what strong ties can he demonstrate to his country or residence?
