Dear Mimmi,

Sorry for the late reply. I was out of forum for quite some time.

I can share my experience with you, if that is helpful. We have completed our medical exam (except my wife's X-ray) and sent all the required documents to the visa office. After that they wrote me an email, congratulating me for the upcoming baby and advised me to inform them within a month of the birth of the baby. I did inform them within 25 days of the birth of my baby girl and later on they have sent me the required forms to fill-up and asked for the birth certificate and passport copy of the baby girl. I have already sent them those documents and they have issued MR for my baby girl. I am planning to complete the MR on 15th April.

It is quite a easy process to follow and if you need more information, please send me a PM.

Regards,
Fuad

I am not sure about this. I will be completing my daughter's medical on 16/17 April 2014 In Sha Allah. Do they start counting the time from the first date when I have done my medical or ask for a re-medical? Any experience?

in the PPR u'll get this -

"You should ensure that everyone in your family has a passport valid for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the most recent full medical examination. Visas can only be issued to a maximum validity of 12 months from the date of your most recent Immigration Medical Examination (IME) assessment. (If your family has medical examinations on different dates, the validity of your visas will be 12 months from the date of the first assessment). If any one of your passports will expire before 12 months from the date of the medical examination, your visas will expire on the date of the first passport to expire. If your passports will expire soon, it is in your interest to obtain new or updated passports to ensure your visas are issued with maximum validity."

Thnaks for the quick reply.

I have actually completed my medical on 29 June 2013, my wife partially completed her medical on 29 June 2013 (except x-ray) and completed her pending x-ray on 1st week of February. My new born daughter will be completing her medical on 15/16 April 2014. As per your above post, then our visa validity will be 28 June 2014, which will give us very short time to plan. Is there any way I can request them to issue a re-medical or extend the validity of the visa?

this line should be in the mail: "If the Panel Physician advises you that further medical tests are required, do not submit your passport(s) at this time. Please proceed to submit the other required documents, and we will request your passport(s) once satisfactory medical results are available."

I think asking them about a re-medical again will be time consuming. IMO, what u can do is -

01. If they ask for your passports right after your daughters medical, then (assuming e-medical) your PPR should come by the end of April. If u drop passports at vfs dhaka, they'll probably return the passports in a month which is end of May, so u'll have one month to do the landing.

02. tell DMP about the whole situation, ask him if it is possible to re-do the medicals for u n ur spouse at the same time with the daughter and send the results. If it is possible then, u r free of time limit.

03. e-mail them right away describing the situation. and ask for a re-medical. go around the thread and see what others saying.

Medicals are not extended for Outland applicants. If her processing goes past the one year anniversary of her medical, when they are ready to issue the visa, the VO will provide her with forms to re-do the medical.
