Hello everyone, I got a few questions... Thanks to all in advance!
I am applying with my girlfriend (common-law)

* personal information; I am in a common-law relation for over 2 years, I also got divorce, the final papers are just out. do I need to send divorce papers with application? if yes how do I add the info of my ex wife to the aplication?

* Education; my girlfrien and I are University graduates, do we need to supply highschool diplomas as well or university diplomas are enough?

* Previous stay in Canada; I go to canada almost every week for work, most of my stays are 24 hours or less (I work in an airline). I have probably entered Canada over 200 times in the past 5 years. I have no way to know how many times and where I stayed in canada. how do I address this?

* Assets/ Debts/ Net Worth: I have 2 cars (they worth $8000 each, total of $16000) but I read you cant put them as assets... I have around $16000 in the bank, and I have car loans for $12000. If I calculate my net worth without the cars as assets i only get to $4000. is having $16000 cash good enough?

Again, thank you in advance for the answers, I hope it will also help other people

if you have answers for some of the questions it will be great! :) thanks again

thanks for reading

Hi buddy!
If you still here, I would be glad to help.

1. Better you get married, ohterwise you have to collect some bills and other proofs of your living together. Certificate of divorce got to be uploaded of yours (main applicant) part of online application - personal information.
2. University diplomas are enough
3. You have to proof of liquid funds as $12000, but remember - you must to get this sum with you to landing. Loans certainly must be closed till that time.
Let me ask you too. Where you had got your invitation to apply? Oversea MPNP mission or exploratory visit?

Feel free to ask me anything about strategig MPNP stream.

Hi,
I have some questions regarding the MPNP Strategic Initiative stream
1. How long after a decision is made (if favourable) do they require you to come for an interview?
2. English is my first language and my job code is NOC:B - am I still required to submit IELTS?

1. You can get your interview during they overseas missions, so there is appointed schedule. If you mean EV it depends on your country and visa accessibility. Usually 1-6 monthes.
2. Yes, dear. Unfortunately it is mandatory 4 everyone now.

Thanks, my country does not require a visa so I guess it would be pretty quick.

So it depends on their schedule, I think it is two months.
Good luck then!

I've got some questions regarding EV:

I have 2 sisters who live in Ontario, does that lower my chances? You know, sisters cannot to anything in general. I mean, they won't be to sponsor me and my family, they won't let my family and I live with her family in one apartment. Correct?

I have done the TOEFL, but obviously they require IELTS, can I apply now and tell them that I'll be sitting for the IELTS soon?

hi, I was inactive for a wile and got a pleasant surprice to see these answers!!! Thank you.
I just sent my online aplication last week (july 3rd) under strategic initiative, so we'll see what happend...
here is my story:
in mid 2010 I first got to contact the MPNP and a few emails we scedule the EV for august 2011, we spent about a week there and interviewed at the end with an immigration officer, it was very nice and friendly interview. she basically wanted to know our story and plans while testing the english level as well. I told her what we did that week, who we met, etc, etc... overall great experience.
then we came back home and it took about a year to gather all documents, money and have my divorce finalized... ( in the interview I have asked about my divorce and my domestic partnership with my current girlfriend and their answers were: even I wasn't legaly divorced yet they will consider my year of domestic partner life with my girlfriend valid, and I can apply before divorce is final but they will need the final divorce ruling before the can aprove my aplication. I decided to wait until I had the divorce finalized).
on July 3rd we submitted the aplication online with all documents and some letters explaning some answers... we got email confirmation july 4th.
I didn't submit my divorce papers because I couldnt find anywhere to do it but I am preper to send it when they ask for it.
last I am a US citizen (naturalized) so i didnt need any visa and scheduling the EV was very easy and the interview was scheduled a month before the trip.
Good luck to everyone and I'll be happy to answer any question about our experience.
