I received my MPNP last Sept 2017. I applied to the PR on Oct 2017 and received acknowledgment on Dec 2017.
Any Idea how long it takes for CIC to request Medical Examination ?

Sincerely
I received request for Medical Examination less than a month after they acknowledged receiving my application.

Hi Guys,
Glad to share my experience and timeline for MPNP until receiving my Visa:
14 Nov. 2015 - submitted EOI
27 Nov. 2015 - Received LAA
27 Jan. 2015- LAA expired due to missing documents from spouse
(unofficially separated from spouse and had bad relationship afterward so spouse don't want to help in documents needed.
Lesson here: always maintain good relationship with your ex's! :) )
02 Feb. 2016- sent new EOI
(had to submit legal documents of proof explaining spouse's non-submission of documents)
11 Feb. 2016 - Received LAA
01 Mar. 2016- MPNP application sent
03 Mar. 2016- MPNP file number received
24 Nov. 2016 - My brother in Canada had a background interview
10 Dec. 2016- received confirmation of Nomination
22 Mar. 2017- submitted AOR
(this took a lot of time as need proof and explanation of spouse's non-submission of documents as well as explanation of
non-submission of Chinese police clearance- I worked at at least 4 different countries before and China had a
problem of issuing police clearance to expats compared to other countries)
24 May. 2017- CIC acknowledged the application and start of processing
14 Jun. 2017- CIC sent correspondence for Medical examination
06 Jul. 2017- had medical exam and clinic sent it 4 days later
27 Jul. 2017- CIC requested additional documents related to non-submission of Chinese police clearance
18 Aug. 2017- Additional documents requested
31 Aug. 2017- requested documents requested
28 Sep. 2017- CIC request notarized declaration of non-accompaniment of spouse
17 Oct. 2017- sent requested document
(took some time to do this since I was working abroad in a non-English speaking country, had to find a notary public office that does
English legal papers)
29 Nov. 2017- Passport request
18 Dec. 2017- Sent passport
04 Jan. 2018- received passport with visa expiring on July 2018

Well, that's it! It is longer than stated here and harder than explained. Harder in a sense that there were a lot of document issues pertaining to spouse's, police clearances, other legal (but non-criminal) issues. I am sure that if other applicants with no marital woes, didn't work abroad and such will have a lot easier time to apply,

congrats!!
where is your visa office?

I have a doubt , I went to MPNP Online to submit my application , basically to just see how it works .

At the end of the submission , it opened a new tab and showed me my points , what are these points ?

Is it the final points or does it change ?

I am an international student , will be getting my PGWP and offer letter from my employer .
Will be working on the same field I studied in .
Education of 1.5 years in Manitoba .

Can someone please explain to me why it says Skilled Worker Overseas ?

International Students who have not completed their programs are not eligible to apply. Once you graduate, you will be eligible to the International Education Stream. You will also qualify as a Skilled Worker in Manitoba depending on your situation.
Your EOI says you are overseas because you have not selected the options: I am currently working for 6 months full-time same employer in Manitoba. And because you are not graduated yet, you were not able to select the questions of the Education Pathway. Once you graduate and get a full-time job offer, it is most likely that your points will be around 800-900 points. The minimum score for those invited in the last draw was 530.

Good Luck!

Hey, I’m getting the same number of points. I have a four-year degree from Manitoba, along with part-time work experience during those four years. I also have my PGWP and a job offer in an in-demand occupation (I don't get the 500 points though not sure why). Did your points remain the same as well? I’m also planning to apply through the International Education Stream.
