Recived mpnp nomination just 2 months before pgwp expiry, no restrictions on nomination want to extend my work permit but aor (non express) is taking 4 months and wpsl is not an option..are there any solutions to extend the permit..will take me a few days to apply for pr due to pcc

Look into the new federal government policy for open work permits for PNP applicants.

Thanks but that policy does not apply to already nominated
Thought that was the purpose of the new announcement last week.https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/permit/open-work-permit-worker-with-support-letter.html

Its only for in process or applied..the link that u included has the caveat ..This work permit is not for those who have already been nominated by a province under the Provincial Nominee Program.

You know every province can provide a work permit support letter. How I know this, people who apply for provincial nomination from outside canada and are approved can apply for a work permit that allows them to be able to start their life in Canada while they wait for pr. Ontario gives you a support letter automatically. Have you contacted MPNP to check if they will give you a support letter?

You are correct its called a work permit support letter which is wpsl, as i am working in manitoba, the issue is in manitoba your employer needs to register job and pay a non lmia compliance fees of arnd 350 cad which my company is not willing to do only post that the letter is issued. thanks

I have seen some people in this forum that say they have told their employer that they will cover the fee. This is just a suggestion. maybe yo have already done all that.
And I'm sure you can still apply for the work permit on your own just attach the nomination certificate and proof of employment you can even explain how other ways to extend are not working for you. they might refuse it but it never hurts to try right.

Good luck.
