Hi. Yes I submitted a photocopy as stated in the checklist. CIO did not return my papers, nor was there a request to submit the original one.

wow, thank you very much! by the way, how did your cousin send a request for formal review? online also? please advise. thank you once again! God bless

Yes. You have to fill a form and send it attached to an email (just like Settlement Plan Part 1, no signatures needed), but within 60 days of refusal.

By the way, why don't you send them Settlement Plan Part 1 (again), before they actually ask for it.

Send it by an email attachment to:
mpnpsupporter @ gov.mb.ca (ignore spaces, if any)

Mention your "MPNP File#" and "Missing Documents" in the subject line.
Also don't forget to mention
Your complete name
Date of Birth
Date of Application
File #
.... on top of your email matter.

There is no harm in doing so. :)

Help...anyone who knows how to request for loa extension?...tia...

Hi Gabdre. Email MPNP and ask them for an extension of your LOA. One applicant from the other thread needed also an extension. He emailed MPNP and they send copy of his extended LOA. Did CIO returned your application?

Hi polay. If your passport is expiring on March 2013 then I think you should renew it now. Neither MPNP nor the Canadian Embassy will tell you to do it. The last 6 months is the time to renew it. Whether for travel or for PRV application later, you must be on your way to a new passport with your married surname, which you will be needing in all future dealings with MPNP or CIC. Hope this helps!

Hi carl,

We are planning to renew my husband's passport expiry date will be on May 2013,is it okay if we submitted the old passport number on the online application? And use new passport soon in case LOA will be granted?

Thanks,
Jona

I have an update to my timeline below. They called my sponsor out of the blue and grilled her. They asked a number of questions and were mainly concerned that I might not stay in the province. They ended the call by saying that I'd still need to apply for a visa, but I will still pray for a positive reply. :-)

Stream: Family
MPNP submitted online: Apr 30, 2012
AOR received via email: May 1, 2012
Sponsor submitted SP2 via mail: May 14, 2012 (I confirmed and they received it on this date.)
Request for documentation received via email: Sep 13, 2012 (they requested bank letters/certs showing access to "transferable, liquid funds and assets" to be submitted via email by Sep 20, 2012)
Submitted additional documentation: Sep 19, 2012
Sponsor interviewed: Oct 2, 2012
LOA: ??

HI Binglites! may I ask is there any issues/problems encountered on your application? It took 5 months before your sponsor interviewed. I am so worried that it will be that long also to have our sponsor's interview. I applied online only last September 20.

hi sweet! sorry for the late reply. For me, you can attach those courses provided you can also attach transcript since there will be an error if only diploma will be the attachment.
That is only my opinion. You can ask others in this forum for their inputs.
Thanks

Hi there Jona. I think there is nothing wrong with what you intend to do. Once your husband has a new passport, you can use it for your PRV application. I don't think there is a need to inform MPNP about the new passport. They have in their records the expiry date of his current passport and they very well know that it will be renewed soon. In my readings I have not encountered an issue with applicants having problems with passports that were renewed during the entire process, from provincial nomination application until prv application. Good luck!

hi there.. how can i confirm if my sponsor have submitted the SP2.. my sponsor told me that she submitted the SP2 that is required from them. Will they give my sponsor an AOR or confirmation that they receive the SP2?
LOA: ??

Hi there. If the SP2 is sent to MPNP via email attachment, they write an email to confirm that they received it. In my case my SP2 was sent via regular mail. There was no confirmation / acknowledgement of receipt. Hope this helps!
