Hi all

I just received my LOA today

My time line is as follows :

Applied to MPNP (online) : 4th February 2012
Received File Number : 5th February 2012
Additional Doc request : 1st April 2012
Sent Required Doc : 11th April 2012
Sponsor's Interview : 25th April 2012
LOA : Received on 22nd May 2012, issued on 30th April 2012

Hi,

You should have the result by now, usually the results come after 13 days. I took mine last April 12 and got the result on April 26. MPNP also requested me to have IELTS. (My band is 7.5 average; L:7.5, R:8, W:7.5, S:7)

I submitted my application before (last October) through my brother who's living in Manitoba, MPNP returned back all my documents and requested for the IELTS and notary of all my documents and was advised to re-apply once completed. So, I re-applied again thru online last MAy 10 and fortunately, I received my AOR and file number the same day, they also emailed my brother requesting for the SP2. It's pretty fast. I hope that there will be no additional docs to be requested by them.

May I ask what your intended occupation is? Did you submit english certifications from your schools when you first applied? I also plan to apply this coming June and I'm having a hard time deciding if I'll take IELTS or not since it's quite costly and I'm not that confident with my English.

No, I have not submitted any english certifications that maybe the reason why they requested me to have IELTS. I've been working in UAE for about 8years now, they can see it from my record, and they know that if you're working abroad, the common language that we are using is English and still they need certification. Anyway, there's nothing wrong if you take IELTS, because in the future you can use it also, the validity of it is for 2years. It's not as difficult as you think. You can go in IELTS website, they have some samples there to practice. It will help you a lot.

BTW, I'm a Civil Engineer but working as Estimation Engineer in Dubai.

I would just like to ask again coz im still waiting for somebody to respond. Will they ask for a job description that's patterned NOC type? Thats what the consultant from a consultacy firm said because a friend of mine has seek a consultancy firm. Or will a job description from my employer do? I dont have extra financial resources thats why i wanna do it on my own. please advice, thanks
