Hi...My husband's sister is sponsoring us thru family stream....we're going thru the online application but i'm confused in some areas...hope you guys could help....btw, i'll be the principal applicant....tnx
1) education...shall we include elementary?...are we to choose 10yrs for our secondary education?...do we need to upload elementary, HS & college diplomas?...how about forms 137 & 138?
2) IELTS....is this a really a requirement?...I currently work as a call center rep...Sayang 8k & it's a long wait..
3) settlement plan.....should I upload parts 1&2 or just have our sponsor send part 2?...what if liquid asset doesn't equal the required amount which is 12k, will land title and cars be accepted?....total asset would equal 26k with those included...or do we need to ask for an affidavit of financial support from our sponsor?..where can I get proof of net worth?
4) employment history....do I need to list all or can i only list those in line with my intended occupation which are not too long ago?
Education - I did not include Elementary/Primary education. I started with High School/Secondary. Choose 10 years Secondary. This is equivalent to 6 yrs elementary plus 4 yrs high school. I uploaded my high school, college and post grad diplomas (with English translation for diplomas not in English). No form 137 or 138 needed.
IELTS - Not a strict requirement for family stream but you must show proof that your education's medium of instruction was English. Get certificates from your high school & college/university. You may also get a certificate from your employer/call center company attesting that the language used in the workplace and with clients is English.
Settlement Plan - Part 1 you must accomplish and upload since this is part of the documents required. Likewise furnish your Manitoba relative a copy of your accomplished Part 1. You can also send her a copy of Part 2 so she can start accomplishing it. Once your online application is received by MPNP, they will send a copy of Part 2 to your relative and she must submit it to MPNP within 1 month. Regarding funds, I am not sure if real property is okay with online application. For applications by mail, you may include real property but you must secure an official appraisal. I think I read somewhere that motor vehicles do not qualify to be included in the net worth computation. So far I did not see an option regarding an affidavit of financial support in the online application. For applications by mail, this affidavit is provided (MAS). Proof of net worth will be the supporting documents for your assets less liabilities (if any).
Employment History - You need to list all your significant work history, whether or not it is related to your intended occupation. This is important in establishing your employability with reference to the current labor market in Manitoba.
Hope this helps. The best of luck in your application!
