Hi everyone,

I'm a new member in this forum, its really a big help.
Me and my fiance were under MPNP General stream, Submitted all the requirements Jan.2009, we have received acknowledegment letter Marh 2009 and finally got our LOA May 2010.

I have some quaestions:

1. We're approved as common law partner, is it ok if we get married prior to submission of the documents in the embassy?? Or much better retain or status as common law partner?

2. Do we really need to update all the infos submitted on the 1st application package?

3. Do we need to submit all original copies of our credentials, or a notarized copy will do?

4. If you already have LOA is there still chances for you to be denied in the embassy?

1) If you get married before you submit your documentation, it' more likely that you'll land in canada at the same time on the otherhand your fiance might go to canada after you landed provided that all supporting documents will be forwarded to the embassy as requested by the embassy.
2) Just send all what is required in the next set of your application
3) A notarized copy will do for some credentials but for transcript of records they require original with school dry seal.
4) Chances are if they found out that you made falsification of your document, you failed the medical examination ( HIV and other life threatening diseases ) , you failed in the interview if not waived... but the chances of failure is not that high but the probability is still there.

oK THANKS ALOT , so much better if we'll just retain our status as common law partner?? it will be less hastle i guess, the fees needed must be in the form of MC? the landing fee and processing fee is around how much?? if we sublit the requirements needed in embassy much bette to include both fees?? thanks

@ enjiniko ..

thanks for the idea and i appreciate that.. :D

Hi enjiniko and to everybody,

Gud Pm. I'm new here, but I read almost all the thread, I just have one concern, is it really necessary to take submit an IELTS, even if I already have certification from all of my company (here and abroad) that english is our means of communication. I received my Letter of Approval last April 26, 2010. And I am just waiting for my police clearance, before I can submit my application in CIC Manila.

I'll appreciate all your answers regarding this.

Thanks

hi redge,

regarding the police clearance,if you will get here in the philippines, it will just take 1 day. I'm waiting for my police clearance abroad, coz I worked there for 3 years.
Yes, I fill out all the forms, needed to submit to cic.
By the way, you have ielts result? I am just wondering if I really need that?

Thanx

Hi dc,
I don't have IELTS, but i have submitted the English Units i earned from my University in the first application package. i think that would be enough.
i think we're on the same boat now, gathering documents to be submitted to the embassy. Please keep me updated in your application.
