My Medical results was submitted last March 31, 2010 by nationwide.....Im also waiting for PPR...

Anyone who has an idea how does the PPR is given?is it thru mail or email...i have read some thread that the PPR is now thru email?is this true for Canadian embassy manila...thanks...lets keep one another updated...God bless......

Hi candy13,

Does the CEM really required to submit a Machine Readable Passport instead of the old green passport? Do you think that we really need to change our green passport to the red one? If the embassy really required the MRP, we are going to set an appointment to DFA as early as now while we are still processing our medical. I hope you can enlighten me about this matter. Thank you so much and God bless.

Iza

Hi iza,

Sorry for late reply. yes the CEM require the new red-colored passports. It was written in the PPR letter "2. The original passports for yourself and every family member who will accompany you to Canada. To ensure timely processing and to facilitate your travel, we strongly recommend that you submit the new red-colored passports currently being issued by the Philippines authorities".

So, i suggest that you should change your old passport "green passport" to a new red-colored passport to avoid delays of your visa. As you can see they highlighted the part that they recommend to submit the new one.

Btw,just to update my status:

April 2008 - Submitted the MPNP application (Manitoba)
August 2009 - Received a letter of approval as Manitoba nominee & application for permanent resident package
Oct. 14, 2009 - Submitted the required documents together with the processing fee & landing fee
Nov. 6, 2009 - Received letter from embassy to submit police clearance
Dec. 15, 2009 - Received medical request
Dec. 17, 2009 - Took medical exam
Dec. 18,2009 - Additional Medical test done
Jan. 5 & 12, 2010 - Medical Clinic forwarded the medical results to the embassy
March 4, 2010 - Received the PPR
April 9, 2010 - Received the Passports with visa ;D

I hope i've answer your queries well..Thanks..and good luck!

Untill there are some local classification, CIC have no preference about color of passport. It should NOT be a diplomatic or military passport.

YEHEY!!! My LOA just arrived!!! that is the said letter they have mailed me last February! it took more than a month til it arrived at my doorstep!!

Here is my time line

Aug. 2009 Sent Application package to my Aunt (family support stream) for her to forward it to MPNP
Sep. 2009 MPNP called my aunt to confirm that our application is in process
Feb. 2010 A letter was sent to me by the MPNP (aacording to my aunt because she follow up our application)
April 2010 The said letter was received by me, i was surprised it was the LOA!!!

It took my application to MPNP 5 months (September to February) to be processed :o :o... GOOD LUCK TO US GUYS!!!! :D :D

Do we need to send processing fee and landing fee together while sending application form to visa office? Or we need to send only processing now and landing fee later ? Thanks
