hello.. are there any cases of application getting denied because of scoliosis?
just worried here..
kalurkei.

many thanks! :)

not denied, but if you already declared it and you are undergoing treatment (like meds or braces or anything sort of) then it won't be a problem..there may be some delays for referral, but if you can function well to work and it does not cause you interference in work, then i think you're good to go...

Hi. There's another topic - MANITOBA ONLINE APPLICATION. You will find lots of useful information in that thread. I for one is a Manitoba nominee via online. Applying online is fast. Approval comes in after 2 months despite requests for additional documents. In my case there was no request for additional docs. I was nominated in less than 2 months. Good luck!

Urgent guidance is needed, Kindly reply.

I applied under General stream in January 2011 and they asked for some documents after few months. In November 2011 they gave me Temporary file number and required more documents, which I submitted before the last date of February.

I mailed them and they said "We received your additional documents and your file is with us waiting for its turn to be assessed"

MY QUESTIONS :

*How much time will they take and I don't know about my stage. Have I already get AOR or LOA ? I am a newbie. What will be the next step. Kindly let me know. Thank you.

* If we get a Temporary File number. Does it mean we are accepted or do I have more chances ? Is my case 50% completed or how many percent it has been completed ?

based on what i already know so far:

- general stream PNP takes about 4-6 months to receive AOR and 8-10 months for LOA...as in my case, 10 months for LOA..others took 12 months...

- AOR can be sent through email, so we need accurate and active email, that we check on regularly, including spam and inbox..in other forums, even LOA was sent via email..

-temporary file number is given because you are not yet fully assessed.. but once everything is completed, you will be notified by receiving your LOA..and yes, lacking documents really causes delay because of missed chances of being assessed in one time...once you receive your LOA and applied in VO, you will be given your permanent application number so you can access your ECAS...

-so for now, you'll have to wait..don't contact them every so often, because i was once told that asking and follow ups cause delay, so I never even dared to ask their office..just give them what they want and let them do their job..our part is to wait.. ;)

-here's a sign that you are about to receive your LOA soon: SPONSOR INTERVIEW

hope somehow i helped ;D ;D ;D

in my case: ( GEN STREAM)
i received my temp file number last january 2011
SPONSOR INTERVIEWED on last june 2011 and approved on the same month. submitted the Original Docs (requirments)
LOA received on last october 2011 thru email alongwith additional docs requirements and Payment of Payment of Right of Permanent Residence fees (RPRF)
Medical request received on december 2011 and done on january 10 2011
PPR waiting until today....
this is my processing time. :)

Hi,

I submitted my MPNP last February 2012. But I got a job offer abroad. I am currently residing here in the Philippines. I would just like to ask if it is advisable to go to other country while waiting for the LOA of Manitoba?? Do LOA have an expiration in which I need to finish all the visa processing and medical in a specific amount of time? Can I change visa office once in the middle of application?

I heard it would take 1-2 years under General Stream. Can you guys further explain the step to step process in MPNP. (from submission of application to Visa release.)

I am having a difficult time weighing my options. To wait here in the Philipiines for another 1-2 years or work temporarily abroad to save up money for my immigtration in Canada. Any reply would be appreaciated.

Thank you!

@ BlessedMe

both of my sponsors were interviewed, the other one even gave some few wrong answers about me, but anyway i received my LOA after a month (via airmail)...don't worry too much, as long as the sponsors satisfied the consul that they will aid you in your first few months of settlement in Canada, i think you're good to go...keep us posted for progress ;) ;) ;) ;)

i don't remember the site, but it is in one of these threads about MPNP that someone posted about the questions asked during sponsor interview... but from what i remembered, the consul will ask a few background checks between you and your sponsor (even if close friends like when did you meet, and personal stuff about you), then asks the sponsor if he is willing and able to help and guide you in your first few weeks or months of your settlement in Canada... and something like this..maybe you should read this thread again to see if there are some posted questions...

anyway, one of my sponsors even gave the consul wrong answers about me (i think my birthday and date of graduation), but i received my LOA after a month... :D :D :D
